Instagram only lets tools send automatic messages for professional accounts. Switching is free, takes about a minute, and you can switch back anytime.
Creator or Business?
- Creator suits influencers, artists and public figures.
- Business suits shops, brands and service providers.
Both work with AutoDM App.
How to switch
- Open your profile and tap the menu (three lines, top right).
- Tap Settings and privacy.
- Scroll to Account type and tools and tap Switch to professional account.
- Pick a category that describes you, then choose Creator or Business.
- Tap Done.
Turn on message access
This is the step most people miss. In Settings → Messages and story replies → Message controls → Connected tools, turn on Allow access to messages.
If your account is private, switch it to public. Professional accounts must be public.
